Oak Island's Money Pit for Sale

11/07/2005 11:07 AM

I remember reading about Oak Island and its mysterious "Money Pit" when I was a child. It's interesting to see that it's not only a real place, but it's for sale.

For those unfamiliar with the Money Pit, it's a hole discovered in 1795 that has been theorized to hold all kinds of treasure. Whomever dug the pit created a trap so that no matter what is attempted to excavate it, the pit floods. In successive years those attempting to solve its riddle and find the treasure have sacrificed millions of dollars and six lives.

Here's a great site on Oak Island. I'd never heard of this before. Sounds like a mad genius or sadist was behind it (or maybe both).

I'd like to see the video tape of the chests and severed hand. See the section titled - "Borehole 10-X"

Taxes!

11/08/2005 8:16 AM

Taxes! did I hear Taxes. I read the links and a couple other stories about Oak Island and didn't see nothing about taxes. How did the government get into this. I think maybe there is a govaphobic in the area! If the treasure is really supposed to be that great then lets buy it and excavate the whole Island and get to the (bottom) of this. Of course we'll have to get permits, notify osha, EPA....
