Power Trading / Open Access System in India

10/10/2016 11:45 PM

Dear friends,

I understand that there can be huge power bill saving in India through power trading / open access system. I would like to know from people who have implemented this system :

How to go about

What are the pit falls and precautions

Is it really beneficial in Telangana / India

Cost of implementation

Normal Time frame required

I will be very much thankful to know from people who have implemented this system at 132KV system.

Thanks

There are likely significant efficiencies to be gained. Examples of pit falls and precautions can easily be found among those extolling the virtues of similar gaines in efficiency though energy deregulation.

Thank you for the quick response. The information available on IEX/ indian power sector was very useful.

I would like to know the experiences of people who are doing power trading in Telangana / India on the issues indicated.

Thanks once again.

Before 1947 ( before Indian Independence ) Electrical generation and distribution in India was very limited and centered in cities and towns and was East India Company, Tata Electric company , Calcutta Electric company and small companies. After India became Republic the power generation and transmission came under direct control of Government (Central and State ) except for Bombay (Mumbay ) and Calcutta ((Kolkotha) controlled by Tata Electric company and Calcutta Electric company. In 1991 Government permitted private companies to join energy sector . Four major private companies are now in this sector and are generating and trading power

Adani Power 1996 , Tata Power 2010, Sulzan 2010 and Reliance Power 2010.

PTC India is a Private Public partner ship company born in India 1999 who help private enterprises to go in the field of power trading. You can get more information from this Organisation for Finance and help if you have specific project in hand. The most suited projects are for Solar Power and Wind generators .

Ohh, you can’t even imagine what huge bills I get for electricity. I installed smart meters and realized that most of my electricity was used by two of my PCs and a laptop. All devices must be connected to special programs 24/7 in order to analyze the forex market. Yes, I trade and I spend a lot of money on electricity, but the investment pays off :)

By the way, I also started buying shares of various companies and eventually realized that the most expensive shares are shares of energy companies. I was not even surprised. In general, if you are also interested in stocks and trading, then you can find a lot of interesting things at https://investotrend.com/most-expensive-stock/.
