10/18/2016 1:20 AM

Can mobile smart phones store the bar coded items into a logged record for analysis?

Of course they can.

There are many apps for that.

Who is Meomory? Can she take notes and store pictures? Then she should not need bar codes! It just pushes the problem from one memory to the other one.

What is the application?

My memory - the application is in the home - being of engineering background I approach everything that way. So over the time I have collected a lot of material which 'will come handy sometime or useful' and if not used for a while one tends to forget what is already available before going and buying more.

This also goes for groceries and condiments stocked - and not realise that some of the stuff is out of date or needs replenshing etc.

I have found keeping records by paper, computer and mobile phone not very helpful. But as the mobile phones get more powerful and easier to use it comes to mind that may be the potential is there - do you agree?
