Is this the same as the locomotion cube bot suggested for planetary exploration?

Supposedly that cube can move by jumping, and had gyros on board, etc. Release a swarm of them on a planet, and exploration increases by orders of magnitude...

Or how about about putting one of those in the body of a humanoid robot for standing posture control/balance? Maybe even a jump assist?

We have a washing machine that does that when spin drying.
