Intertripping in Power System

Hi everyone,

can anyone guide me about inter-tripping, if there is 02 grids connected with 100km Line , one is power plant and other is Grid of distribution company ?

i need just 02 line reference to understand this " term "

i also trying to search google as well.

thanks ,

Additionally communications facilities are also required when remote operation of a circuit breaker is required as a result of a local event. This form of communications is known as intertripping.

But how its work and what additionally communication facilities required , are they talk about PLCC communication ?, if the case is one side isn power plant and other side is grid which is feed the other transmission lines to other grids of the same voltages .
