What Did They Make?

12/30/2016 10:10 PM

I stumbled across this video of a 'flange' being made. It's a pretty impressive process. It's obviously nobody's first time and it's quite a lot of steps.

I'm sure the neighbors love it!

How do we do the same thing in the states? Fully automated?

Most of the middle of the video is the same is the same. Skip a bit to see the end.

I keep waiting for a horrible accident which seems possible at any minute....but i've seen this done in the US, it's basically the same process...

I dunno. I suspect Darwin had already taken out the slow learners by this point.

That's what they call a police academy.

No sense of humor?

Those donuts you posted make me hungry and coffee would go well with them.

I enjoyed the teamwork and skill. 200 years of steam hammer use and still a method of choice.

A seriously impressive crew. The amount of experience and years of passed down knowledge is evident. It gives me a fresh perspective on the investment in equipment and labor to produce this type of part.

Not so simple at all.

If donuts were this difficult to produce they would be $8,995 dz

Interesting video.

By the way, would the Engineer in this video be the man with the black hat and checkerboard sweater ?
