Cement Grades

08/16/2007 12:43 PM

Dear Sir/ Madam,

Cement grades available in India are of 33, 43 and 53.These number designate compressive strength of mortar of 1:3 (Cement:Sand) ratio in N/mm2 after 7 days of curing. Why cement grades are not in round off numbers like 30,40,50,55 etc?

Rajeev Kumar
