PLC means Programmable Logic Controler. In this device we can store instructions .There will be inpus and outputs. The inputs can be digital or analog and similarly the out puts can be digital or analog. The input signals can be from limit switches, pushbuttons, sensors etc the outputs will drive solenoids, contactors, indicating lamps.

Based on the input signals and instructions stored in the PLC the output signals will be available and the components like solenoids, contactors will operate

PLC can be used for any application like automatic operation of Water pumps for maintaining optimum level in tanks, for traffic signals for process industry, for automation of furnace controls, boiler controls, turbine controls etc.

But the CNC means Computer numerical Control .This is mainly for machine controls, like planing, shaping, cutting ,threading of components as per the input specification for components.

You have to furnish the application details to develop the block diagrams. There is no standard block diagrams.Block diagrams will vary depending on the application.
