Antigravity Machine Receives Patent

11/16/2005 1:00 PM

Boris Volfson of Huntington, Indiana recently received U.S. Patent 6,960,975 for his design of an antigravity space vehicle. Some people might consider patents on unworkable products to be relatively harmless. Others worry that these patents can be used to defraud investors. Mistakes in the U.S. Patent Office are unfortunate, but inevitable. Some 5,000 examiners handle 350,000 applications per year.

Selling the Moon

11/16/2005 1:40 PM

It's akin to companies that are selling real estate on the moon. Think I'm crazy, nope - here's one. People have to understand that a patent, or some fancy wording, doesn't mean somethings real. Do diligence is necessary if you are going to buy or invest your savings. P.T. Barnum was right and there's always a snake oil salesman waiting to take your money.

I notice this company relies on exploiting ommissions in the relevant acts to assume ownership............on that basis maybe I could claim the moon belongs to me and sue them!!!???
