Robotic Bartender Pours and Listens

11/17/2005 8:35 AM

The T-Rot bartender robot is about to make its debut at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) forum underway now in Busan, Korea. T-Rot has two cameras which help it recognize both people and objects (e.g., bottles, glasses and refrigerators, etc.) and see their position in three dimensions. It also listens to customers and responds with appropriate conversational comments.
