	In reference to what standard? Yes, piston rings may be cast, or ductile iron, or even wear resistance carbon steel (given the springiness is suitable). I have no data to suggest one grade over the other, and no data suggesting ring or cylinder durability under any particular given set of conditions. Why don't you consult further with your proposed supplier? __________________ If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Just build a better one.

	Hi Maisam, Welcome to CR4. Blind links - links with no explanatory text or indication of where they lead - are frowned-upon and probably why the admins removed yours.
