What is the role of PLL in Mobile Phones?

A PLL in a Mobile Phone is used as a method of oscillation for the RF output. It enables the phone to change the frequency it can transmit and receive on without needing multiple crystals.

Ohhh you can use a phase locked loop for many excellent uses, it could be to generate a frequency that tracks another, or just to up or down convert a frequency, to generate a high stability frequency which is digitally adjustable etc...

The uses of a PLL circuit are literally limited by your imagination...

Whoops missprit for decravinating..

Like wot stops it cravinating before it reaches the sprunging point.

The old flux capacitor is fine...needs topping up occasionally tho'.

A good idea in modern circuit design was applied widely to many equipments especially communication, control etc.

it main function is stabilizing frequency and get new stable frequeny so that you can complete modemo etc works enven in higher noise condition.

it plays important role in mobile phone describle above as well as in tv sets.
