Yes, there are places where the humidity is too low, and nasal passages will dry out.

L.A. - I don't know for sure, Phoenix - definitely, El Paso - 100% too dry.

Controlled humidity inside the industrial process floor is important in cotton textile work, and some others.

Obviously when the ambient humidity is about 20-30% in these arid locations, and can be lower still in some office spaces, a droplet evaporating humidifier should produce cooling to within a few degrees of the wet bulb temperature and that is pretty cool on a hot, dry day.

Yes but are you installing a swamp cooler or a humidifier? These are both different from a misting cooler....They might all have evaporation in common, but they have different purposes and are designed differently....

If this "cooler" is working in a closed room; it would be just as if a normal refrigerator is kept working with its door open in that same room. Both shall not drop the temperature in that room at all! It can only work if the air-intake is from outside of the room and the room has a air outlet in the ceiling. Best results would be had if the air is dry.

I held my "water" on this thread until now. I think the product is good as humidifier for controlled humidity if the room has a low to semi-low air exchange rate.

It is about worthless as a "cooler", IMHO.

Coolerado splits the air into system air (cooled without humidity addition), and working air that reaches near dew point (wet bulb closer), with a large change in humidity, and due to the design of the heat exchange media, the working outlet stream is warm humid air, and the system air is quite cool, with low humidity (if the room is low RH to start with).

I see that this has been a blunder on my part in communication. I asked that members would comment on the build quality of an Evaporative Cooler. Showing an image of the company website ( with the accompanying image of a mister ) has created confusion. So, in an effort to alleviate that, I showed an image from a YouTube video, in the vain attempt that the reader would watch said video and comment on the product being presented.

The one you said is video. You past the video URL into that, so when you have the video page open, just right click on it, and copy the video URL, or video URL at the point in time, and paste it into the video button page on CR4.

Don't worry. The old guard had to teach me how also.
