Falcon Heavy to Launch in November

07/28/2017 3:07 PM

The Falcon Heavy, a launch vehicle with a payload to low earth orbit of just under half that of the Saturn V rocket, will have its maiden launch sometime this November. It will be the most powerful launch vehicle active today if it's successful.

Here is an article detailing the plans:

What is that top animation supposed to be? Falcon Heavy?

She looks pretty big to me. The real question, is can and will she carry the freight?

Why, whatya' got?

..."The Falcon Heavy is a variant of the Falcon 9 launch vehicle and will consist of a strengthened Falcon 9 rocket core, with two additional Falcon 9 first stages as strap-on boosters. This will increase the low Earth orbit (LEO) maximum payload to 63.8 metric tonnes, compared to 22.8 tonnes for a Falcon 9 full thrust."...

That's over 140k lbs....or nearly a whole space shuttle...

Sounds like a good start. How many lawyers will fit on board that, and not overload?

Average lawyer weight is 333 lbs. (151.05 Kg). Some fatter than others. Send the fat ones first.
