Mitutoyo Gagues out put

Have you tried calling the local distributor, or even the distributor that sold you the thing, and asking tech-assist?

Now that is a clever idea, why did he not do just that? Seems logical!

I tried with local distributor as well as Mitutoyo office. But unable to get the data required.

Just a side note: Mitutoyo is on an up to three year export ban depending on where the product is going. The ban for the USA is six months starting July 3rd 2007. The company was also fined 45 million yen and four ex-employees were sentenced for violating foreign exchange laws. Apparently they were exporting devices that could aid the production of nuclear weapons.

I am assuming that you have NO information as to the type of interface at all, is that correct?

Can you at leaset place a picture of the connection on this blog.

i personally feel that unless someone else knows exactly what the interface is, you are onto a losing game.

Also, unless it is a COMmon serial interface of some sort, you are going to have problems get software to talk to it I would imagine.....

I have a Tesa (similar) to RS232 convertor box Guest... The output from a Mitutoyo gauge is about the same but it is an unusual format.

The box converts the format to a computer friendly RS232 to enable it to interface with a computer...

The above(?) is a picture of it, i was going to put it on ebay if you think it might do the job you can have it for a laughably small price...

Thanks every body. I hv tried Input Tool as well. Finally we hv developed a UP base system which works like interfacing unit having RS 232 out put.

Next week I will be installing the system.

Depending on where you are from please contact the local Mitutoyo office.

In the US you would need an "Input Tool". They are made in either USB or RS232c. These are not sold in all countries. Each Mitutoyo group has different muliplexers for thier local markets.

The SPC output is a form of BCD.
