Is it for real to have a car using a compressed air? If yes can i have a link to the manufacturer

You can use compressed air to 'turbo charge' the inlet pressure...

I've seen this done on short duration high powered engines, drag strip type...

having a much higher inlet air pressure increases the mass of air and therefore fuel that can be added to each cylinder for the firing cycle, this increases engine power significantly.

Also you don't have the losses associated with running a turbo or super charger off the engine, so increasing the efficiency.

You can also add gases to aid combustion in with the compressed air further increasing power output - BUT only if the engine components can with stand this extra power of course!!

How about adding a 2nd AC compressor & a receiver tank [for storage]. The electric clutch could actuate when the brakes are appllied, to recharge. A bit valving & reprogramming for the fuel injection. A low tech hybred. On a car w/a manual transmission, the system would resemble regenerative braking.

YES, but it has many drawbacks.

The air car that many people have talked about is from MDI in France. Much of the info on their site seems like utter nonsense, but perhaps the problem is in the translation.

Air motors are used in industry for various purposes, but there has to be some compelling reason to do so, because electric motors simply work better and are more efficient. "A car that runs on air" sounds catchy, and they'd like you to think it would pollute less, but because of low efficiency, it should pollute more -- although the pollution is shifted to the source of energy for the compressor.

It must be possible, some industries have or used to have locomotives powered by air as they could not risk having fire or sparks near to flammable materials.

If my memory serves me correctly, they could run about for up to 8 hours before needing to be recharged......sorry that is all I have....

Regrettably, air motors are very inefficient as a rule of thumb; to produce 1 h.p from the air motor, around 8 h.p. is required at the compressor.

However air motors have a future driving A.G.V's which can be instantaneously recharged from a compressed air ring main and have a low tare weight compared with lead acid battery vehicles.

If I understand you correctly, what you want to do is compress air and use it to propel your car. It is not a complex issue and can be done however:

You have to remember that the idea behind having an efficient work done, is that your potential energy has to be greater than the energy require to release it. That is called a positive yield. Let someone else do the job of storing the energy for you, like time for instance. Oil for example, where it took millions of years to store it's potential energy. All you need now is a small push to release this energy.(spark plug for example) If you need more energy to store your potential energy than you can later use, (negative yield), than you are investing more than you will harvest. Not very smart. That is what will happen in the case of compressed air where a lot of your energy is lost to the generation of heat. Of course you can do it but why? If the matter is just fun, than by all means go right ahead, If it is a commercial matter, I doubt that you will find any interested investors in your project.
