Sorry, I have no personal experience in metadata automation or optimization. I am betting the answers you seek are in the links provided by Lyn and myself.

There are a couple of software links on Wikipedia, Meta-optimization

Good Luck!

In the OP you asked about metadata automation.

meta-extractor.sourceforge.net/meta-extractor-info-sheet.pdf

That is used by eg libraries.

Metadata optimization for search engine optimization (SEO) to increase traffic to your webpage, is better done by yourself than by any software. There is probably software out there to generate "meta keywords" but in the real world their use has been deprecated. (probably due to the abuse of the feature by the same software keyword generators). The meta description is now more important, and is a simple sentence best written by you. Read this:

https://www.wordstream.com/meta-tags

If you had a huge number of pages and wanted to automate the process, a simple script could be used to select the first sentence of your text on that page as the "meta description".

Tried there ...and this thread places 6th in the top 10 for me...hmmm, now I'm caught in the infinite loop. This may be the same phenomena that got me here in the first place.

Need a software which can help automate metadata management for Panasonic systems. Being more specific, for entering video data into the metadata.

It sounds like you need the first tool I mentioned, from Sourceforge.

"Supported file formats...

Audio and Video: WAV, MP3 (normal and with ID3Tags), BFW, FLAC." So if the format is BFW or FLAC then there is already an adapter available for that.

The software download link is on this page along with a description of the meta-extractor tool.

<...anybody...> There are several names listed in the links in #1⇑. Half an hour with a telephone will produce a lot of information.
