	Hi there, I just want to know the roles of these two diodes in the circuit (DC motor control board) attached. Please let me know some details. Thanks! * the image is not clear, but I guess you could answer me in general way..

	It is hard to tell from your fuzzy diagram but my WAG is that these are flyback diodes. A flyback diode provides a safe current path for when an inductive load, motor winding, gets turned OFF. Without a planned flyback path the inductor will create enough voltage to make a current path. __________________ "Don't disturb my circles." translation of Archimedes last words

	Good question! "On the L293, external high-speed output clamp diodes should be used for inductive transient suppression. On the L293D, these diodes are integrated to reduce system complexity and overall system size." __________________ If you spend all your time looking for people and things to complain about: trust me, you will find plenty to complain about.
