A New Pickup Truck for 2019?

Recently at the North American Auto Show, a Chinese manufacturer showcased several new models. GAC indicated they would begin selling a sedan ( saloon ) , van ( Lorrie ) and a pickup truck.

GA4, GA8, Starry, & Enverge concept. There was mention of a pickup, but a model was not detailed.

GAC does manufacture a pickup. The M 1 & M 2 . The M1 is a single cab and the M2 is a double cab, available in 9 paint colors and a choice of 2 engines. Both are water cooled inline 4 cylinders, displacement is 1.298 L & 0.998 L - engine family LJ474Q3E2 / LJ465QR1E1

Fuel mileage is 6.2 liters per 100 km.

The Great Wall brand has been here in Australia for a few years now.

It sells for considerably less than the Nissan, Toyota, Ford staples, but at the cost of far less safety in the case of a collision as outlined in this report.

Well, it looks like 'sort of' might be the correct answer.

According to this WIKI article, they are associated with HINO Motors.

Hino Motors Manufacturing USA produces truck parts in plants scattered around the USA and assembles vehicles in WV.

My limited experience with the badge is, these are dependable trucks.
