Dear Sirs :
A circuit breaker has been installed in an electrical panel (presumed short circuit current at the installation site = 40 kA, rated voltage of the panel: 460 Vac / 60 Hz), and has the following characteristics:
Rated current = 100 A
Rated voltage = 460 Vac
Current Icu [rated maximum (ultimate) short-circuit capacity] = 40 kA
Standard of manufacturing : IEC 60.497-2
My question is :
How many short circuit events at the 40 kA (same level of the current Icu of this circuit-breaker) level will this circuit breaker support until it needs to be completely replaced?
Thank you for your opinion/comments
