Weight Span Calculation

07/29/2018 8:15 AM

Dear Sirs,

If three towers namely AP1, AP2 and AP3 has span lengths of 100m and 450m between them and the three towers are at elevation 0f 1748m, 1816m, and 2003 metres.

What will be the left weight span and right weight span for the AP2 tower? The conductor used is twin bison and weights 1.444 kg/m.

Best Regards,

That's a question for a civil engineer who understands transmission line/tower design. If you're a student you can start here.

Among other things, it depends on how tight you stretch the conductors.
