Yes I would imagine if one has enough money to thoroughly research the market, one might find out certain deficiencies and advantages, but it's still a gamble...However a wise investor is always trying to stack the deck in his or her favor,, short of breaking any laws...Diversification and patience are key to success....

but when Berkshire made the large stock buy, goes to show what confidence in the market does, Apple stock returned to being a stock to own... and took off, and then And then Samsung battery became public Samsung phone batteries starting fires... and the rest is history...

there were a couple of times apple almost went bankrupt. i remember back in the 80's.. now that would have been a good time to buy..

If it wasn't for Bill Gate infusing cash into Apple, Apple would not exist.

It's true the iPhone 10 sales were lower than previous models, but their profit margin on that phone was much higher, so they actually made more profit from it. At the end of the day it's the bottom line that matters.

That said, it's gonna be tough to keep generating the sort of profits necessary to keep a one trillion dollar market cap. The good news for them is, if the fall on hard times, they've got 250 billion in the bank.

I got to disagree with you there. I don't sweat when I work but I have to concentrate a lot on what I'm doing. I do make time during the day for exercise because I agree that it's good for your health to break a sweat every day.

I think if you push yourself mentally or physically or both every day, that's where you get the real health benefits. The saying "hard work is its own reward" is the truth. There's a pride that comes with working hard that's worth more than the money you get (though still give me that money too!).

I would spend my vacation on the farm doing physical work. I love it; at the end of the day, I was physically exhausted, slept great, woke up sore in the morning and went back at it.

I never said this to my family, but I'd take the physical tasks over mental tasks every day. To recover from mental exhaustion was difficult. Fortunately, I work smarter now...
