Scientists Ask Congress To Fund $50 Billion Science Thing

09/28/2007 3:46 PM

Top physicists from several major American universities appeared before a Congressional committee Monday to request $50 billion for a science thing that would further U.S. advancement science-wise and broaden human knowing.

It sounds like a worthy project! What do you think?

I have grave doubts about this project based on my understanding of how buckeyballs behave in quantum stock (primordial quantum soup) in the absence of zero-frequency photons. A $50 million feasibility study should suffice to quiet my concerns.

Take a good look:

Would you say it is just a coincidence that the illustration of the gizmo resembles a Tokomak (Toroidal Cold Fusion Confinement Chamber) ?

Just nod for "Yes" or "No", right here, to see what the B.S is all about...

And for those who have been here, consider the following, just for the skeptics: Any Cold-Fusion Gizmo under 10 million $ per-year, is not even worth the effort, hence low-energy "Cold Fusion (LNER)" and "Inertial Electrostatic Confinement (IEC)" are not worth the effort... They have concubines and a yacht to feed

Above: a $ 1000 "IEC" Gizmo

Then there's a $ 500 "LNER" Pentagon-Hammer

Hey we built one of those thingies down here in Texas. 'Cept we stretched it out and buried it a couple hundred feet underground. But just so people wouldn't get lost we made it in the shape of a doughnut.

ohhh doughnuts.............

See, they don't even honestly expect to bring this or that to fruition. The meantime, is the big salary maker for them. There is no horn of bounty at the end of the rainbow, it's within the process that does it

I think they should outsource it to China

This would be very much missing their point:

- It's not for real as fruitful science, but instead, as a salary scheme for participants ! -

Does it look (up) familiar? Well, this here is the main salary generator. The rest of it, are mere props...

While on the subject "The coldest fusion I know is called 'The Sun'", the proportions of the proposed gizmo may somewhat illustrate (literally) that this is not a desktop $ 500 custom-made hammer, hence the 50 billion budget:

See the man-figure in blue ? He is supposed to get a 650k annual retainer. Minimum.

But, what on earth is this supposed to pump?

Our collective sympathy?

The Tokomak / Tokamak "business" is booming in Europe too.

The business is enclosed in quote-marks because in plain business, one usually expects for something in return to their spent money...

Here, an even more elaborate, more expensive Cold Fusion Fantasy offered for funding, and it looks like they are going to fund it all-right:

Look at the lovely blue flame. Would you say 150 billion Euro suffice, or they'll come up with a 200 billion plan next year?

Here is the humble European version of the

cheaper yesteryear version of the you-know-what:
