Low Alloy Steel

12/02/2018 11:59 PM

I Understand, when Ni, Cr, Mo, and other alloy element contents consist of less than 10.5% defined as low alloy steels.

Can anyone help me to find the list of low alloy steel material grades?

Is there any cumulative grade list for the same?

Yes, there is. Any search engine can be used to find it. One can also use any mechanical engineering handbook: Kempe's Engineers' Yearbook (not an endorsement - other handbooks are available) is one example.

Yes I've seen some for sale cheaper, but also older, like from the 70's....How old are some of these standards and alloys comes into question....surely you would want an up-to-date complete accounting of these alloys if you are currently designing...or are you saying nothing has changed in the last 30+ years...?

In america, a " charity shop " would be a place where you could get a copy for free.

1. "america" is ALWAYS spelled America.

2. Charity shop - Wikipedia is not a "place where you could get a copy for free."

3. A search engine can provide the OP with all the information they need, free of charge, if only they would use them.

I usually check Matweb first. There is a lot to dig through, but I can usually find what I'm looking for. And it gives composition and physical properties.
