Dear Nascon,

The requirements for runway lighting will depend primarily on the Category (i.e. CAT I; CAT II or CAT III) of your airport.

Also each country will have it's own set of rules and guidelines governing airport equipment, placement of equipment and operating procedures etc.

If you are refering to an Indian Airport then the airport should have all the appropriate manuals (in the UK these are CAP documents, and are numbered to denote the contents, scope etc).

Suggest you contact The Airports Authority of India http://aai.aero/AAI/main.jsp for more specific information for that country.

Hope that helps get you started.

There are some international standards recommanded by International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO). All you need you can find in document AERODROMES, Annex 14 to the Convention on International Civil Aviation, Vol. I, Aerodrome Design and Operations. You can find it in internet on ICAO pages.

Fly high and safe.
