Dear friend

axial flow pump is used only for low head but if you need a high head pump you need to use another type for ex.multistage pumps.

No. Axial flow has no head capacity as the fluid stalls and recirculates when back-pressure is present. You need to convert radial velocity energy to pressure capacity by using radial forces, so the next step up from an axial flow is a mixed flow pump which is a hybrid combination of axial and radial. Medium head medium flow. Then you move into a full radial flow type impeller for high head, low flow. Then from there multistage.

NO! and if you work for a pump company you should know the answer. If not find out they must have engineers there who can explain how different types of pump work and which type are best for a particular job. Ask questions at work this is how to learn and advance in the company.

Axial flow pumps are for high flow, low pressure applications.

Axial Flow pumps are effective up to 20 feet or so. Special arrangements can do more and they can be "stacked" for more head as multiple stages. As a rule of thumb consider a mixed flow pump to be your choice if the TDH is always more than 18ft.. Sometimes multiple stage axial flow pumps in stainless steel cost less than mixed flow pumps in stainless steel.

When you say you're working in axial flow pump company then why are you asking us such a question? You should be knowing if can be used for high head and telling us not vice versa. Moreover, you are yourself stating that it is used for high discharge and low head then obvious it cannot be used for high discharge and high head otherwise your company would've manufactured and marketed it.

YES if you are just playing with the word AXIAL.

A POSITIVE DISPLACEMENT HYDRAULIC SWASH-PLATE PUMP can have axially parallel Inlet & Outlet.
