GIS Details

03/17/2019 8:09 PM

Dear Sirs,

If I am talking about a double bus double circuit 220 kV GIS pre_engineered hall, do they come in standard sizes, or it can be custom - made too?

It should have all essential switcgear componenents besides eot crane, air handling units, sraircases, gangways.

Is total control possible by local control unit only? Or it also needs racks of programmable logic controllers also? Is a separate control room or control building needed?

Best Regards,

The water's way too deep for you. You'll need a lot of competent help before wading in to this swamp.

Or an education in electrical design engineering.

Reminds me of the old question:

"Excuse me sir, when does the next train leave, how much are those bananas and how deep it that mud puddle?"

Reminds me of a conversation I had 30+ years ago.

“We’ve ordered five new bays to add to your existing substation.”
“OK, but what about the rail tracks?”
“Erm, what rail tracks?”
“The tracks that will go through your first two new bays!”

We ended up with a somewhat lop sided substation. 20 years later the entire substation had to be demolished for more rail tracks.

A1) yes and yes.

A2) yes.

A3) only if something other than local control only is needed.

A4) It is not possible to tell from here.

This is not something you can order, you will need to hire a consultant or company to design a solution for your needs.

Really? That is what GIS stands for, 'Get in Supermarket'? They come now in instant mix. Pour, add water, stir and leave to stand for one hour.
