Looking for the Correct ANSI or SME Spec

03/25/2019 9:31 AM

Hi, my company want me to purchase a machine that will measure, cut, and apply a terminal to wire. We wire our own electrical control boxes and prepping the wire takes a lot of time. So a company called ARTOS came in with a machine that will measure the wire, strip it, and apply the terminal in just seconds. This would be a big time savings.

My question is, what Spec's should I call out for the manufacture to reference and that I can reference to test this machine. I'm thinking there should be some spec with a pull test to assure the terminal is secured to the wire, but what is the spec? (I'm not asking for you to give me the spec, I'll buy it, but sometimes I have to purchase 1or 2 spec's before I find the right spec for what I'm asking for.)

Second part of the question is, has anyone had any experience with this company? Good or bad? and does anyone have a competitor I could look at?

Thanks

Labyguy

IPC/WHNMA-A-620C 2017-January REQUIREMENTS AND ACCEPTANCE FOR CABLE AND WIRE HARNESS ASSEMBLIES

it cost me $190.00
