Is EtherCAT High Speed Over TTCAN?

Does time triggered communication provide high speed transmission and is TTCAN preferrable?

As well, is EtherCAT better for industrial automation control vs TTCAN?

EtherCAT (Ethernet Control Automation Technology) is an open architecture, Ethernet-based fieldbus system. The goal of EtherCAT development is to enable Ethernet to be used in automation applications.
