Carbon fiber is used for tanks holding high pressure for air guns. That application counts as an accumulator, in my book.

Although I have never encountered one, I would think that a carbon fiber accumulator would be advantageous in a mobile hydraulic application where the weight saving (vs. a steel accumulator) would be desirable; for example in an aircraft's hydraulic system
