Get engraved tags to replace printed type....or you could make covers to protect them from the sun and sand...

We used to copy all the information on paper and fold it up in a plastic bag and attach it to the piece of equipment....

We're expecting covers to provide for protection from UV. radiation

Highway billboard advertising signs use a type of vinyl to print their information. They do not seem to fade. There are printers that use different colors of vinyl and allow printing directly from computer design programs. Roland printers comes to mind. Of course, customized UV resistant signs can be ordered online.

Or you could make a stencil from the sign text and paint it with a UV resistant black paint.

Since your mounting hardware appears to be providing partial protection I expect this is a mechanical and not a UV bleaching problem. I believe your tags are being sandblasted clean. If I am correct, applying a sacrificial clear plastic film over the tag may be sufficient.

Interesting that I can see absolutely no text or other information on #1.

Fortunately, the cost of laser engravers has fallen dramatically. Use one, and make sure that the energy level is set such that some significant cutting occurs. When engraved (grooves cut), the different levels of cut vs. no-cut make it possible to read the information (with appropriate lighting) even when all colors have faded to one.

These are already engraved tags, the color of the top lamacoid layer is bleached out by some chemical exposure or UV. The manufacturer of the nameplate stock may have alternate material specification. Paper Mill practice is to make the top layer white, engraved through to black. That way dirt & grime fills the engraved areas, while the top layer is wiped clean. For your application, a stainless steel tag engraved through will perhaps maintain the information, the red maybe use a hard anodized frame to signify the importance...
