A few years back I wrote a series of three CR4 blog posts about the costs of perfect turfgrass, in which I made my anti-perfect-lawn stance abundantly clear. This article from the University of Florida reiterates the benefits of weedy lawns for pollinators. You can still have a lawn that's mostly turfgrass, in places where a lawn is a sensible groundcover. Just leave some clover and bare spots for the bugs.
