PRESENTLY, I AM WORKING IN PURCHASE DEPT. OF ENGGINEERING COMPANY. I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW ABOUT PRODUCTION PART APPROVAL PROGRAMME. AND ALSO IF ANY SUGGESTION OR FORMAT RELATED TO THIS PROGRAMME PLEASE FORWORD ME.

The Engineering Company in question needs to ensure adequate training for its employees, particularly in Purchasing, where a mistake can have serious monetary consequences. Relying on responses from a forum website is poor practice!

I would suggest to glace through the procurement guidelines and standard bidding documents for procurement of the World Bank, Asian Development Bank, JBIC and the FIDIC. They could be of great help and guidance for you and I strongly recommend these documents. In our country the Pakistan Engineering Council, a statuary body has also deviced standard documents, which are almost identical to those specified above, only they are harmonized with the local environment.

I WOULD LIKE TO CLARIFY THAT THIS IS THE OPEN FORUM FOR ALL. IF I HAVE A QUESTION & I WOULD LIKE TO GO INTO DEEP WHAT IS WRONG? AND ALSO I TAKE PROPER TRAINING ABOUT PPAP OTHER THAN IF I GET KNOWLEDGE FROM USE OF NET WHAT IS WRONG?

Manish, go to www.aiag.org, and type in PPAP in the search box.

The real key I have found is to create an agreement ahead of time of what constitutes the deliverables, as folks can get really crazy with deciding what constitutes, say, a sample. milo
