The trouble is that with 'legacy' parts, especially items that may have been produced exclusively for an OEM, is that there will be no 'footprint' on the Internet. For more generic parts, especially those sold through distributors, your chances of finding datasheets are much higher. The other trouble is that the drivers for these displays may also be unique and unobtainable.

As much as I like to re-purpose or re-use items, there are many cases where it is simply better to buy something new. LG_Dave's suggestion is a good way to go.

Adafruit has bunch, and their stuff is usually reasonably priced.

Before my semi-force retirement due to disability, I was electronics tech/ Engineer.

I am still trying to play around with my electronics and I would be writing the needed code for the display. I am looking for the general pin out for the ribbon cable 13 pins and which protocol, that Panasonic may have use with the "dcx79pc21bbs3anc" processor chip use as the main processor for the cordless phone.
