12/13/2019 10:37 PM

How likely is it that a charging pad discharges a phone. Don't know the charger brand. Android phone.

..."Turn the device off.

Hold volume up rocker+home button+ power button at the same time.

In manual mode, use the volume rocker to toggle to clear cache partition. Power button to accept.

Then, use the volume rocker to reboot. Power button to accept."...

So, you have no idea about the question, but post nonsense instead?

Well, you are the one who put nothing in the way of useful information in the question, posting nonsense instead...

It is unnecessary to duplicate postings in this forum.

Try a different charger on your phone and a different phone on your charger. This should tell you if the problem is the phone or the charger. Some older phones also need an adapter for wireless charging.

Wireless charging shouldn't discharge the phone, but if no charging is taking place, the phone may continue to discharge on it's own.

Here is an article on wireless charging that might be helpful...

If you've been struck by lightning more than once it's very likely, otherwise nil.

A charging pad simply provides a High Frequency AC magnetic field. If the frequency of that field is within the range of frequencies accepted by the device being charged (in this case, the phone), then the phone can use the energy of the magnetic field to convert the AC to DC and charge the phone's battery.

There is no way that AC field can remove energy from the phone's battery, unless that AC magnetic field was so intense that it destroyed one or more components in the phone. In that case, the phone would almost certainly fail completely.

Note that the frequency dependency means that a charging pad designed for one particular phone may or may not work with a different model/brand of phone.

It doesn't as the technology doesn't work that way.

If you are experiencing unexpected battery discharging or low battery life check your phones power usage due to apps or it could be an old or faulty battery that needs replacing.

Safe money is at 15000 to 1.

Do betting probabilities on your side of the pond put the "against" number first and the "for" number last? To me, 15000 to 1 is essentially a sure thing. Or do you really mean 1 to 15000?

About 1 in 15000, then.
