Join the War Against Errorism!

Alright, alright, I know this is on Half Bakery, but what a great idea! You can see the politicians squirming already.

The war against errorism

Yes! Integral action in a three-term feedback controller will eliminate errors. Too much integral action and the system will become unstable, though.

if unstable, add differentail feed back to correct.

no problem, if the pole points are all at left of original. oh its only on theory.

In fact, as you said, when the order is over 3, control will become complex and difficult to manipulate.

Do take it serious, I m just make a kidding to the thread.

The problem I see with this idea is that you would have to get the voting public to agree on the facts to which they would hold the politicians accountable. Unfortunately the voting public is way under-qualified for that task.

People who write on this forum from a position of ignorance generally get stomped pretty quickly. Hopefully they learn from the experience and knowledge of others. Maybe politicians should be required to run their speeches through a CR4 gauntlet before they are presented to the public. See, problem solved and tax payer dollars saved.

Yes who is to be the final arbiter of truth. Things are rarely black or white. education, the free exchange of information, is the only hope. Proportional representation would be a start here in the US.

The question is are they errors, lies and inaccuracies, or are they just leaving out the verisimilitude that would be detrimental to their initial subversities.

Ladies and Gentlemen I give you George Bush.

And you can darn well keep him.

What politician doesn't fit that description? For that matter, what person doesn't fit that description? Are you all Mother Theresa?

Bush-Bashing seems to be a common thread these days. It has become trite. Is there any constructive dialog?

Go back in history and you will find controversy surrounding every president. The position is a lightning rod for criticism from any position that doesn't agree with the direction of the current administration.

As our world continues to get more and more technical many issues that face us require a technical background to understand. Just look at the topic of alternate energies. I am incensed when I see reputable news agencies reporting techno-quackery that originated with someone out for their own agenda. Without the right knowledge and an analytical approach people can and are being mislead. I wish their was a mechanism for making accurate technical evaluations easily accessible to the general public. One off the wall thought is encourage big media to employ engineers and/or physicists and/or other EXPERIENCED technical people as regular and often commentators on big news items. At least then the motives of some company president looking to get funding (your tax dollars) for a project that is bad science may not obtain the funding due to an independent public evaluation of the project. These commentators should bring the science to a level that non-technical but still INTELLIGENT people could understand. After this starts working lets next start sharing some truth about Wall Street.

Wouldn't this require some veracity in media. They report the news, they don't make it (and if you could cut the bottom line by not verifying it..).
