Valve

10/25/2007 10:34 PM

I am using pneumatic actuated valve for the flow of flux in my Submerged arc welding machine, but frequently i face the problem that, "the actuator does not operate though the solenoid valve is in good condition". the flux get jammed inside the actuator while actuating, so to solve this problem what kind of valve shall i use to operate the machine automatically whithout any problem like this.

pneumatic actuated valve . solenoid valve is in good condition

this means that you 've a 3-way solenoid valve on the pneumatic valve to open or close with solenoid. The actuator then is a diaphgram completely sealed . How does flux then get inside actuator?

(Flux is removed by air blowing venturi valves. Scan all threads and you will find sites previously intimated by various members ).

I've seen pneumatically operated "valves" that work on the principal of a pipe with an internal expanding circumferential balloon that pinches off the flow. For many applications it might not be precise enough, but for what you are doing, it might work.
