I would appreciate if someone can suggest the calculation procedures for calculating CER's in the afforestation, reforestation of species eucalyptus and casuarina per hectare considering harvesting once in every 4 years.

Bit too specialised/local for a Brit... maybe a local government or forestry website?

(But I do have a nice Eucalyptus in the back garden!)

I would suggest you contact local agriculture university they will definetly help as this is there field , Eucalyptus , casuarina can grow in drought prone region, non or less fertile land therefore they are prefered trees for plantation , they do have medical values ,but effects on pollution , climate control are unclear,

"harvesting once in every 4 years" do you mean thay can be harvested once in 4 years , life expectancy of 4 years? thet do live for 50 60 years or more

While you are at it, does anyone have the CER for the leucania species?

Any tree uses up CO2 . Other than a fire hazard, what's the point?

Trees keep the environment more aesthetically pleasing and reduce stress in many people with limited skills to cope. Also, it keeps Botanists and Biologists employed, esle we might be overwhelmed by the unemployment. Additionally, it gives the environmental activists some feeling of lasting accomplishment, it is unlikely they will win a award from Stockholm (though apparently Oslo awards on basis of financial expenditure and political clout). Give them a forest somewhere, before they decide to focus on electro-magnetic pollution of our environment.
