Encapsulated Pole

Sir, Suppose a switchgear manufacturer has conducted all type tests as per IEC on a breaker with an unencapsulated vacuum interrupter (VI) and later, in a particular contract, encapsulates the VI, to adhere to the customer specifications, is it mandatory to repeat all the type tests on the breaker with an encapsulated pole? Can you quote from relevant IEC Standards?

Any alteration and certainly encapsulation would need to have a certified design and testing...
