I would like to know if this required any pre-programming knowledge like C,C+ etc ? Am not sure ...thats the reason am posting in this section to get the opinion and feedback from you guys.

The SAP MM module is programmed in the language ABAP. I have done the course, you will not require any programming skills because the course covers only the configuration of the module to suit a specific customer. ABAP programming is a separate course.

Are you really sure you want to do this? Think long and hard about changing careeers into computers and programming - remember that Indian programmers work for less money (at the same quality) than westerners, that is why a lot of jobs have been lost in many western countries. Mechanical engineers are few and far between - especially in the future because we have not been training enough!

Good point there Rolf. But wadda you do when the Indians come over to do your Mechanical Enginering job? I am an Abapper and the companies will outsource my job eventually. However the personal touch is definately missing in the outsourcing sceme.

So the key is: Be helpfull in whatever you do and they will keep you.
