Using the UNIX sw enviornment there is the CRON job. You might program it to run any routine that does the work.

Perhaps the W2K version can help you out.

Other ways might be possible, but why re-invernt the wheel?

How much do you want to spend? I have seen packages for less than $500 on up to several thousand. Most have a 30-day trial you can download. If you really want a Cadillac, Rockwell Automation has a really nice CMMS package. (I've never used, but I hear rave reviews). Just contact your local Allen-Bradley distributer for a test drive.

Take a look at Job Boss software. It is specifically designed for manufacturing operations.

Dear Friend

I have used MEX,system, and servedyne...both are good for engineering operation but the effeciency measurement of technicians work on equipment for pm is more reliable in servedyne system than MEX,but bux is very easy to handle and does all including inventory.

Warm Regards

I have not yet gotten a PM Software but I have thoroughly researched it and I think ithat if I wer to purchase one today I would use the Datastream 7i you can see a ice demo of it here. It takes a minute to load but shows off the software well.
