PILC Cable Characterestics

08/15/2020 7:27 AM

Hi All,

I want to model PILC 3c - 300 sqmm, SWA 11 kV cable in ETAP software, I need to get values of R, X and current currying ampacity, but I cannot find any catalog to any manufacturer even in google.

can any one please guide or put any link to get the characteristics of the specified cable? or even give engineering assumption we can base.

Regards

This is from General Cable New Zealand 11 kV. PILC cables are obsolescent. Sorry it is small Windows 10 Paint does not do what I expect.

In Windows 10, if you right click mouse on image & select "Open image in New Tab" then the first image with inductance etc. comes up big. The second does not, but the first has what you requested.

I am still new to Windows 10 & have not yet got image programs to do what I want!

If what I suggest does not work, let me know & I will rework it on old computer.

The data for 300 sq.mm is Max DC resistance 0.06 ohm/km @ 20 Celsius. Max AC resistance 0.0733 ohm/km @ 65 Celsius: Inductance 0.22 mH/km: Equivalent star reactance 0.069 ohm/km: Capacitance 0.760 microfarad/km: 3 phase voltage drop 0.175 mV/A/m.

This seems to be the successor to G C NZ - Got the data sheet years ago before they were defunct. You might be able to persuade them to get data from the archives. PILC seems to have died from market.

This image looks more legible. CR4 does not have a document insertion option. If you give it too big an image, it seems to cut the resolution to fit.
