Have a look at this Qwikradio device from RS Components. I can't get much from the Qwikradio website - maybe you can do better.

There are so many magzines , demonstrating circuits of your interest from so many years , just scan through annual suscriptions of these magzines , lots of low powered AM /FM transmitters are availble in do it yourself kits , do visit these sites www.howstuffswork.com , www.circuitdesigns.com ,you will get all necessary informations
