If you'd like to commission one or some of us to write you a book, that's fine.

I would like to point out, however, that a downpayment will be required.

This is a ludicrously huge topic, but here are a few notes.

EMI is a bad thing which can stop a microprocessor very easily.

1. It can be radiated through the air.

2. It can be conducted down power lines, this is a major source of problems, as power lines have spikes and noise from the various things connected to them. E.G In a commercial laundry the mains supply is driving big motors which are suddenly starting and stopping, this puts large voltage spikes onto the mains. I've also worked in medical and military areas and oddly found commercial laundries to be the noisiest electrical environment. (I'm sure others will have different experiences)

3.It can be caused by electrostatic discharge. e.g Like the shock you can get when you touch the car door on a very dry day.

Hi Vikas,

good advice from you, but I feel personally that this is a subject that most people (not all!) should learn at a school/University/Further education, especially someone who is so far away from the subject (ie. he has done NOTHING to educate himself except to ask us!!!) and thinks that he can learn it from a Blog!

Learning it from books will probably be much too hard for him as he obviously does not have the background to help him....or he would never have asked on CR4!!

Rant over!

I love it... they didn't even attempt to disguise the fact that they were asking for help... nay... asking for CR4 to DO their report for them. "Please give me an introduction". Hahaha.
