Spring Design CAD

I'm trying to design a very complex spring/clip.

I'm not interested in all the software out there which is used to calculate all the operating parameters of standard springs.

I'm sure I've seen a package which allows you to design complex 3D wire forms, but, I can't find one anywhere now.

I can't afford a full 3D CAD package.

Any ideas?

Those are all calculators for working out the parameters of a standard spring.

What I need is a sort of basic 3D CAD program which will allow me to "draw" the shape that I require.

Oh,... considering you probably don’t have higher end CAD,... would you consider help from someone that does? Where they could do the lofting...

or do you like to keep the intellectual information tight?

That might be a possibility if I can't find something suitable.

I've used TurboCAD quite a lot in the past and I'm about to buy a new laptop so I might search around for a license which is a couple of issues back from the latest.
