power harnesing

11/10/2007 11:41 PM

I would like some info on harnesing power. Asembaling a home generationg curcuit what componets are needed for routing the curent from the generater to the 120 VAC curcuit? haw dose thermoelectric generation work. Is it posable to transmit current back to a secondary source (ie) a batery system or the raw lines via outlet. If i conect a thermal peltier to generate EMF from say the stove heat haw would I design the sercuit for use of that power.

What are some schools with courses on electrical enginering and audio?

what is a good schematic builder program for inexpensive.

hope we can effectivly comunicate this through. I have highschool ed in DC/AC

Thanks

I don't mean to sound rude, but you need the courses FIRST, before you try to work with electricity. It can kill you if you don't know what you are doing.

Do a search on "electrician courses". You will find a lot to choose from. I did a search and came up with 2,520 hits.

Good luck.

Hello teslastein

First you discribe yourself as high school educated n AC /DC , now what is this DC /AC , does this relate to current ,or something else , if yes you atleast know rudiments of electricity .

You want to generate electricity and feed to your existing home circuit that is 120VAC that can be done , feed your generated supply to mains through changeover switch with rated fuses whenever you desire to utilise generator swtch to generator mode disconnecting from grid .

Thermoelectric generators work on temperature differnce at opposite faces of a device generating electricity proportionatly , depending upon energy generated VA you can charge a battery of that size ,what is a raw lines via outlet .you can design a circuit of voltage amplification , regulation to make it usable .

Okay , i advice you to take guidance and apply for a course in electricity as it is dangerous to play with , you will hurt yourself and somebody around you .you do make point to note , google for thermoelectric devices specs , generators , eletric power conditioning , and little electrical physics , please make it mandatory to check your spellings , little grammer ,it will help you in long run ........... thank you

thanks for the info that is helpfule. I had an idea that this could work out simular to what you mentioned, what would be a good independent way to find schematics on the topic for revew. by the way you dont have to be like that whatt guy you dhould bprobably take a course in electricity...huuuuhhuuuh for mister gigawhats info its caled Electro magnetic Force. yea I took a course. I just nead profesional tips and schematics. no I am not being aragant I will find the proper classes wen i find them. work in progress you know. AC/ DC I thought I stated it the same both time its supose to be DC/AC hence dc and AC current as apose to the band AC DC.

Either you think its funny to write such bad English (its not) or you are just bad at English.

Assuming its not your first language, please be so kind as to use the spelling checker.

If it is your first language, don't be so childish AND use the spelling checker.....

This sort of thing is becoming more common. If charging a battery bank very little is really needed apart from a rectifier and a couple of wires. It is a common way to keep batteries on a boat topped up, for example. To push it onto the grid needs a bit more. Several major home improvements chains are offering an off-the-shelf solution that does this for less than £1500GBP, including product warranty. Home-brew solutions might attract the attention of the home's fire insurance company, as well as the local grid electricity supplier's legal team if the appropriate supply tariff is not selected.
