Instrument cables

I want to know the type of Instrument cables what is a pair,traid etc.what is a shielded and unshielded cable.Is there any calculation for size of the conduit,and to size a cable tray please help regarding Instrument cables and Control cables.

Hi Guest ,

You can visit www.wikipedia.com/cables/wires/ . you do require special cables and be perticular about specs and ratings when dealing with measuing instruments , signals tend to diminish or alter with wrong specs for the cable . shielded and non shielded cables as name suggest have gnd shielding over signal carryng conduct while non shielded doesn`t , than there are attenuator probes , twisted cables , capacitive , resistive and likes , there are calculations for sizing , distancing , limits . this is ahuge theory all together and you have to look through books .
