Value Added Product Recovery from Wastewater

What are some value added products that can be recovered and produced from oily wastewater and ballast water?

Well you could recover the volatile product from the waste and use it in pavement or for spraying the underneath of vehicles in northern regions to combat the salt residue...The waste water left is likely to have cancer causing chemicals and not worth the cost of separation, so injection well disposal...
