Nickel Wire .025 mm

Does anyone know what industries, companies and/or manufacturing processes use nickel wire that is.025 mm in diameter at a purity of 99.7%?

What are its uses? What products are made with them?

Google hasn’t been much help

Really? Google gave me 5,410,000 results for ultra-fine nickel wire.

I'm sure these folks would be happy to sell you some.

I had a roll of it,but I put it,and a bottle of invisible ink, in my Camo jacket,and now I can't find any of them.

Lol,... my nephew was nuts about the military, he made his mom buy a camouflage pants and shirt to play army on the farm...

I ignored him by saying I couldn’t find him because of the camo... my sister couldn’t understand how I could be his favorite uncle...

Yes. The vendors do; it's commercially-sensitive information.

A late reply but we have used similar in the past to make electrode grids to be used in hard vacuum. The grid is used to steer electrons towards a target. These days we tend to use electroformed mesh instead.

You might want to check with Jim Henson.

He used it to create frog hair for Kermit the Frog.

And as everyone knows you can't get much finer than frog hair.
