TTL to NIM translation

hi frenz,

wanna ask,any idea y we should translate TTL signal to NIM signal?wat is the purpose to design this system?to detect wat?or what is the main function to do this translation?

NIM signals were devised to be a solution to lag seen in TTL signals in fast timing applications, typically seen in detector type applications where timing for things like coincidence are critical. the voltage range is restricted so the transiton time is greatly reduced and the levels are designed to increase speed at next transistor along- a bias thing.

There are some other benifits on fan out and driving but you can google specs.

Dont really see use outside of NIM applications espically owing to faster TTL parts and methods now available.

Please use spell checker in CR4 as your written English is barely understandable.

Some people on these blogs need to be able to look words up in a dictionary to help them read correctly.....
